VinWonders Phu Quoc
4.8 from 18,591 Google reviews · open 9:00–19:30. One of the largest theme parks in Vietnam, laid out in six themed zones with a castle, roller coasters, a water park, and the Sea Shell aquarium — the giant turtle-shaped building you see from the air. The mermaid show inside the aquarium is the part reviewers mention most, after the closing light-and-fire show at the end of the day. Full guide with 2026 prices and show times: VinWonders Phu Quoc.
How to do it well, from the people who have:
- Arrive before the 9:00 opening. The first hour is the only time without queues for the big rides, and late arrivals regularly say they ran out of time for the water park.
- Pack swimwear and a towel if you want the water park — it is inside the same ticket area.
- Stay for the closing show. It is the one thing nearly every review recommends.
- Small children: most rides need a minimum height of 100 cm, so toddlers will spend the day at the aquarium, shows and play areas.
A minority of reviewers find parts of the park worn and the whole thing too much of a Disneyland copy. If you are coming for authentic Vietnam, this is not it — but as a theme park it is the best on the island.

Vinpearl Safari
4.6 from 27,238 reviews · open 9:00–16:00. Next door to VinWonders, a large open zoo where the core of the visit is an enclosed bus through the free-range area — included in the standard ticket. The rest you walk, or ride the hop-on tram (sold separately), which reviewers with grandparents or small children say is worth it. Full guide: Vinpearl Safari.
- Go in the morning. By midday the heat is hard on people and the big cats are asleep after feeding.
- Check the show times for the bird and animal shows at the entrance — they are the best-reviewed part after the safari bus.
- Food and water: reviewers report that you can bring your own snacks and water. The restaurant inside gets crowded at lunch.
- Night Safari (19:00–21:30, 4.9 from 332 reviews) runs as a guided ride after dark and usually ends with feeding the giraffes.
Most reviews praise the space the animals have and how clean the park is. A few raise welfare concerns about some enclosures. Read the latest reviews if that matters to you.

Grand World
4.5 from 14,395 reviews · open 24 hours, free to enter. A purpose-built “city that never sleeps” a few minutes from VinWonders: pastel European façades, a canal modelled on Venice, shops, restaurants, and spas. It is at its best after dark, when the lights come on — come after the safari or the theme park and stay for dinner. Full guide: Grand World.
The island’s casino, Corona Casino, is in the Corona Resort & Casino complex at Bai Dai nearby; foreign visitors aged 18 and over get in free with a passport — see the casino guide.
What is worth paying for inside:
- The Venice water taxi (9:00–20:30). A short ride of 10–15 minutes along the canal. Evening queues can pass 30 minutes; there is a paid fast-pass.
- Tinh Hoa Viet Nam (The Quintessence of Vietnam), 4.8 from 1,423 reviews — a large show on a water stage that walks through Vietnamese history, with narration in Vietnamese and English. Seating is unreserved, so arrive early. It is the best-reviewed thing in Grand World.
- Teddy Bear Museum (9:30–21:00), 4.3 from 2,824 reviews. Small — 15 to 30 minutes — and really for young children.
The honest downside: it is a tourist town built from scratch, and some reviewers find it fake and the food overpriced compared with local places. Walk around for free first, then decide what to pay for.

Hon Thom cable car and Sun World
4.5 from 19,468 reviews. The Hon Thom cable car runs about 15–20 minutes over the sea from Sunset Town to Hon Thom Island, past fishing boats and the islands of the An Thoi archipelago. At 7,899.9 m it holds the Guinness record for the longest continuous three-rope cable car. Our cable car page has the verified ticket prices.
The round-trip ticket already includes Aquatopia water park, Exotica Village and the Sun World nature park on the island, so there is nothing else to buy unless you want the lunch buffet.
- Mind the midday break. Google Maps lists cable car departures from 9:30 to 11:30 and 13:30 to 17:00. Reviewers who arrived at 11:35 had to wait two hours.
- Aquatopia (9:45–16:45, 4.3 from 4,598 reviews) is the best water park on the island — see our Aquatopia guide. Most slides open at 10:00 and queues build after 10:30, so take an early car. Remove jewellery, glasses and metal before the slides — staff enforce it — and bring a towel, or pay to rent one.
- Expect construction. Several 2026 reviewers note that parts of Hon Thom are still being built. The cable car and water park are the reasons to go.
- Last car back fills up fast around 17:00.

Sunset Town and the Kiss Bridge
Sunset Town (4.6 from 5,029 reviews) is the Mediterranean-style quarter around the cable car station in An Thoi. Come back down from Hon Thom in the late afternoon and stay into the evening:
- Kiss Bridge (Cầu Hôn), 4.6 from 2,344 reviews. Two curved spans reach out over the sea from opposite sides and stop just short of touching — designed by the Italian studio Archea Associati. Sun World lists it as open 7:00–17:30 and 20:15–23:00 (October 2026), so it is closed at sunset itself; the photo queues are long either side. The return cable car ticket includes one visit. Full guide: Sunset Town.
- Symphony of the Sea, a short show on the bridge itself in the early evening.
- Kiss of the Sea show (4.5 from 2,906 reviews), around 20:30–21:45 at an open-air seaside theatre: water-screen projections, lasers, acrobats, and a long fireworks finale. Almost every review praises the effects and the fireworks. Almost nobody can follow the story. Seating is unreserved, and one reviewer was not allowed in with a baby stroller.
- New Year’s Eve: Sunset Town holds the island’s biggest countdown, with fireworks over the sea; see New Year on Phu Quoc.

Which one if you only have time for one?
- Children aged 4–12: VinWonders, then the safari the next morning.
- Couples: the cable car in the afternoon, then the Kiss Bridge and the Kiss of the Sea show.
- Teenagers: Aquatopia beats the VinWonders water park for slides.
- Not a theme-park person: do the cable car for the view and skip the rest — then spend the time on the beaches or in the national park.
