The independent guide to Phú Quốc

Phú Quốc Island Guide has documented this island since 2015 — its beaches, regions, food and the practical business of getting here.

What this is

Written on the island, not from a desk

This site began as a record of one island: where the beaches are, which road actually goes there, what the fishing villages sell and when the sea turns rough. Nearly a hundred guides later, that is still the whole idea.

We are not a booking platform and we do not rank places by who paid us. When a guide says a beach gets crowded after ten in the morning, it is because it does.

The site is currently being rebuilt and its older material brought up to date. Pages carry the month they were last checked, so you can see for yourself how fresh a page is before you rely on it.
