Sunset Town (Thị trấn Hoàng Hôn) is Sun Group’s Mediterranean-style resort town at An Thoi, on the southern tip of Phu Quoc: pastel houses climbing the hill, a clock tower, a mock Colosseum, cafés along the waterfront, the station for the Hon Thom cable car — and, out in the bay, the Kiss Bridge and the stage of the Kiss of the Sea show. It is free to walk around, and it scores 4.6 on Google Maps from 5,029 reviews (October 2026).

By day, reviewers find it pretty but quiet — some call it a ghost town, with many shopfronts empty and food and drink more expensive than elsewhere on the island. In the evening it comes alive, with two fireworks shows a night. Plan to arrive in the late afternoon, see the sunset from the waterfront, then stay for a show.

The Kiss Bridge

The Kiss Bridge (Cầu Hôn), designed by the Italian studio Archea Associati, is two curved spans that reach out over the sea from opposite sides and stop just short of touching. It is the most photographed sight in Sunset Town (4.6 from 2,344 reviews).

The night shows

Show Time Ticket (October 2026)
Symphony of the Sea — jet skis, flyboards, water, fire and fireworks, on Sunset Beach about 19:30–20:05 660,000 dong (640,000 online)
Kiss of the Sea — water-screen projections, lasers, acrobats and a big fireworks finale 21:00, about 30 minutes 950,000 dong

Prices are per person over 1 m tall; children under 1 m are free. Seating is unreserved in one general stand.

Kiss of the Sea opened in January 2024 and was produced by the French company ECA2; its open-air theatre at the end of the Kiss Bridge seats several thousand people, and in 2025 it received a Guinness World Records title as the largest permanent water-projection theatre, according to the operator. Reviewers in 2026 almost all praise the effects and the fireworks — “the closest you’ll ever feel to them” — and almost nobody can follow the story. Gates open well before the show, so come early for a central seat. One reviewer could not bring a baby stroller in.

You do not need a ticket to see the fireworks: both shows end with displays that can be watched from the waterfront and many hotel balconies, weather permitting.

Where to watch the sunset

With the bridge closed in the early evening, watch the sunset from the waterfront promenade, the beach (open 6:00–19:00) or the terrace of stone arches looking out over the sea. On the 15th of each month the sun sets between about 17:40 (November) and 18:30 (July); see our sunset spots guide for the rest of the island.

The cable car

The Hon Thom cable car leaves from Sunset Town, crossing the sea to Hon Thom island with its Sun World park and the Aquatopia water park (water park hours 9:45–16:45). A return ticket was 850,000 dong for adults and 700,000 for children 100–140 cm in October 2026 (825,000 / 679,000 online), and includes one Kiss Bridge visit the same day. Details in our cable car guide and Hon Thom guide.
