10 Best Luxury Resorts on Phu Quoc Island

Pick the coast first, then the resort

Phu Quoc has more than 30 five-star hotels on Google Maps, and most of them score between 4.6 and 4.9. A high rating alone will not separate them. What does is where on the island they sit: the resorts cluster on four coasts, and each coast gives you a different holiday.

Not sure which coast suits you? Our where to stay guide compares every area of the island.

How we picked: we started from every hotel Google lists as five-star on the island, kept those with a rating of 4.6 or higher and at least 1,000 reviews (October 2026), then chose ten so that every coast and every type of trip is covered. For each one we read its most relevant recent Google reviews and noted what guests praise and what they complain about. No hotel paid to be here; this site does not take commission on bookings. Prices are left out on purpose — rates swing widely between the dry season and the rainy months, so compare them on the dates you want.

1. Regent Phu Quoc — Long Beach

4.9 from 1,563 Google reviews. The highest-rated large resort on the island, on the southern half of Long Beach. Guests single out the size of the rooms, the Regent Club on the 10th floor with its own infinity pool, and the number of pools around the grounds. Free daily yoga and bicycles to borrow come up again and again, and families mention the kids’ club keeping children busy through rainy days.

Suits: couples and families who want the top end and do not plan to leave the resort much. Watch for: one repeat guest describes a slow check-in; otherwise complaints are rare.

2. JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay — Bai Khem

4.7 from 3,523 reviews. The resort people come to Phu Quoc for. Designed by Bill Bensley as an imaginary 19th-century university, every building is a “faculty” with its own decor, and reviewers say the theme carries into the activities — guided tours of the campus, candle-making and lacquer workshops. It sits on Bai Khem, one of the finest stretches of sand on the island, a short ride from Sunset Town.

Suits: honeymoons (see our honeymoon guide), photographers, anyone who wants the hotel itself to be the trip. The kids’ club gets strong reviews too. Watch for: the theme is loud and colourful by design. If you want minimal and calm, look at Regent or Green Bay.

3. InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach — Long Beach

4.8 from 8,361 reviews. A big, polished family resort in the middle of Long Beach, with separate children’s pools and the INK 360 rooftop bar, one of the better sunset spots on the west coast. The Club level gets you a quieter, adults-only pool — reviewers who stayed there recommend it if you are travelling without children. The Harnn spa is mentioned in a large share of reviews.

Suits: families with young children; couples who book the Club level. Watch for: a September 2026 review reports biting sand flies around the pool and beach — a problem on parts of Long Beach in general, not only here. Bring repellent.

4. Premier Village Phu Quoc — Mui Ong Doi

4.8 from 7,596 reviews. Villas spread over Mui Ong Doi, the rocky headland at the island’s southern tip, with sea on two sides. Every unit is a villa, which makes it the easiest choice here for families or groups who want their own space. Reviewers praise the beachfront Corallo restaurant and its BBQ nights, and Muslim travellers note halal options at The Market.

Suits: families and groups who want a villa rather than a room. Watch for: it is a long way from Duong Dong (about an hour by car). You will eat most meals in the resort or around Sunset Town.

5. Salinda Resort — Long Beach, near Duong Dong

4.8 from 2,666 reviews. A smaller, independent resort at the northern end of Long Beach, about 6 km from the airport, with free airport transfers. Reviewers write about the breakfast more than anything else — the widest spread many have seen, prosecco included — and about how many of them come back. Restaurants and cafés outside the gate are walkable, which is rare for a five-star on this island.

Suits: couples who want a calm resort but also want to walk out to dinner. Watch for: one family travelling with a young child felt the rate was high for what was on offer for kids. It is better suited to adults.

6. La Veranda Resort (MGallery) — Long Beach, near Duong Dong

4.6 from 1,062 reviews. A low-rise French colonial mansion in a dense tropical garden, 3 km from the Dinh Cau rock temple and 7 km from the airport. It is the opposite of the newer mega-resorts: small, quiet, and full of daily extras that come up in reviews — rum and wine tastings, afternoon tea, cooking classes and yoga on the beach.

Suits: couples who prefer character over size, and anyone who wants to be close to town. Watch for: several reviewers call the rooms and the pool dated. You are paying for the atmosphere and the service, not new fittings.

7. New World Phu Quoc Resort — Bai Khem

4.7 from 5,981 reviews. Villas, most with private pools and up to three bedrooms, behind Bai Khem, plus a 120-metre main pool, a small water park and a kids’ club. Sunset Town is a short ride away. Groups of friends and multi-generation families make up a large share of reviewers, and the villa layout is the reason.

Suits: families and groups who want a private pool and a kitchen. Watch for: the complaints are consistent — upselling at check-in, a crowded breakfast when the resort is full, and three-bedroom villas whose rooms are connected by open-air walkways, which is awkward in the rain.

8. Vinpearl Resort & Spa — Bai Dai

4.9 from 44,759 reviews — the most-reviewed hotel on the island. It is part of the Vinpearl complex on Bai Dai in the north-west, which means a huge pool, the Vinpearl golf course and a free shuttle every 30 minutes to VinWonders, the safari park and Grand World. Reviewers with children rate the free kids’ club highly.

Suits: families who plan to spend days at the theme parks. Watch for: check-in is at 3 p.m. and early arrivals report long waits; some rooms feel dated; and you are a 30–40 minute drive from Duong Dong. Read the recent reviews — this one splits opinion more than the others.

9. Mövenpick Resort Waverly — Ong Lang

4.7 from 5,451 reviews. On Ong Lang, about 15 minutes by Grab north of Duong Dong and its night market, and roughly 50 minutes from Sunset Town. Beachfront villas with private pools, a daily chocolate hour, and rates that reviewers describe as reasonable for the level — the best value on this list.

Suits: families and couples who want a full resort without paying Long Beach prices. Watch for: service gets mixed reviews compared with the top of this list, and the nearest restaurants outside are a ride away.

10. Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa — Cua Can

4.8 from 1,012 reviews. The quiet one. Bungalows and pool villas set into the jungle above a private beach in Cua Can, on the far north-west coast, 27 km from the airport. Standard bungalows have fans and open-air bathrooms rather than sealed, air-conditioned boxes — the point is to feel the forest. Reviewers snorkel straight off the beach and use the free daily shuttle into town.

Suits: couples who want to switch off for a week. Watch for: it is remote, and one reviewer found the food the weak point. You will eat most meals here.
