Phu Quoc’s casino is Corona Casino, the gaming floor of the Corona Resort & Casino complex at Bai Dai (Bãi Dài) in the north of the island. Foreign visitors aged 18 and over walk in with their passport and pay no entry fee. Since 26 November 2025, Vietnamese citizens who meet the legal conditions can play here too, with no end date, under Resolution 08/2025/NQ-CP, Article 3(1).
Corona was the first casino in Vietnam to let Vietnamese citizens play, not the only legal casino in the country. The operator lists 18,800 m² of floor space, more than 147 gaming tables and more than 484 slot machines.

Who can get in, and what it costs
The rules for the two groups are completely different. Vietnamese people living abroad who enter Vietnam on a foreign passport go in the foreign visitors’ column (Decree 03/2017/NĐ-CP, Article 11(1)).
| Foreign visitors | Vietnamese citizens | |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum age | 18 (the casino’s rule), with full legal capacity (Decree 03/2017, Art. 11) | 21, with full legal capacity |
| Documents | Valid foreign passport with your visa or entry stamp, to register at the door | Proof of income or tax status, in the form set by the Ministry of Finance |
| Entry ticket, 24 hours | None — no ticket to buy | 1,000,000 VND per person per 24 consecutive hours |
| Monthly ticket | Not needed | 25,000,000 VND per person per month |
| Income condition | None | Regular income of 10 million VND a month or more, or paying personal income tax at a qualifying level |
| Legal basis | Decree 03/2017/NĐ-CP, Article 11 | Decree 03/2017/NĐ-CP, Article 12(3)(a)–(c); Resolution 08/2025/NQ-CP, Article 3(1) |
Entry rules verified September 29, 2026 against Decree 03/2017/NĐ-CP, Resolution 08/2025/NQ-CP and Corona Casino’s rules page. A draft decree to replace Decree 03/2017/NĐ-CP proposes raising the ticket prices for Vietnamese citizens — check the current rule before you go.
If you are a foreigner and someone at the door asks you for a ticket, the casino’s own English rules page says, in so many words, “No purchase of entry tickets required”. Have it open on your phone.
Currency and opening hours
Decree 03/2017/NĐ-CP is precise about money:
- Vietnamese players may only use Vietnamese dong to buy chips and to cash them back in (Article 12(3)(đ)).
- Chips are denominated either in VND or in one convertible foreign currency (Article 15(1)).
- Foreign players can cash leftover chips and winnings out in foreign currency or in VND (Article 15(4)).
The decree does not list which currencies a foreigner can use to buy chips, so ask at the cashier before you change a large sum.
Corona Casino is open 24 hours. The operator’s site gives no floor hours of its own, only a hotline: call +84 297 222 8888 to confirm before a late-night trip.
Where it is
Corona Resort & Casino sits at Bai Dai, near Ganh Dau (Gành Dầu) in the north of the island, by Bai Dai beach. The operator gives its address as Khu Bãi Dài, Phu Quoc Special Zone, An Giang province. If you are staying further south, plan the ride there and back before you go rather than at 3 a.m. Flying in? See Phu Quoc airport for getting out of the terminal. Visitors flying in to Phu Quoc from abroad get 30 days visa-free on the island, whatever their passport — see Phu Quoc visa.

The law in brief
Every legal rule on this page comes from one of these documents, all issued by the Government of Vietnam:
- Decree 03/2017/NĐ-CP on casino business, signed 16 January 2017 and in force from 15 March 2017. It is still the base law. Article 11 covers foreign players, Article 12(3) Vietnamese players, Article 15 chips and currency.
- Decree 151/2018/NĐ-CP (7 November 2018) and Decree 145/2024/NĐ-CP (4 November 2024) amend Decree 03/2017/NĐ-CP — the first on licensing conditions for operators, the second on the pilot period. Neither changes the player conditions above.
- The pilot is over for Phu Quoc. Vietnamese players were first let in here under the pilot scheme in Decree 03/2017/NĐ-CP; Decree 145/2024/NĐ-CP extended Phu Quoc’s pilot to 31 December 2024, Corona stopped admitting Vietnamese citizens from 1 January 2025, and Resolution 08/2025/NQ-CP reopened the doors from 26 November 2025 with no end date (Article 3(1)).
- Phu Quoc is not the only option. The same resolution lets Vietnamese citizens play at Ho Tram (Hồ Tràm) in Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don (Vân Đồn) in Quang Ninh (Quảng Ninh), but as five-year pilots (Article 3(2) and 3(3)).
Staying nearby

Corona Resort & Casino is the name of the whole complex, not a single hotel. The operator lists these hotels inside it, with more than 3,000 rooms and villas between them:
- Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc
- Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc
- Wyndham Garden Grandworld Phu Quoc
- VinHolidays Fiesta Phu Quoc
