Grand World is the purpose-built entertainment town at Bai Dai in the north-west of Phu Quoc, a few minutes from VinWonders and Vinpearl Safari. It is free to enter and open around the clock: pastel European façades, a canal modelled on Venice with gondolas, a “Vietnamese old town” with a big night show, shops, restaurants and spas. It scores 4.5 on Google Maps from 14,420 reviews (October 2026).
Reviewers are split along predictable lines. Many love the colours, the free shows and the evening atmosphere; others find it artificial, repetitive and expensive by Vietnamese standards. Almost everyone agrees on one thing: come in the late afternoon and stay into the evening, when the heat breaks and the lights come on.
What it costs
Walking round is free. You pay for three things (official booking site, 14 October 2026):
| Adult (140 cm+) | Child 100–139 cm / senior 60+ | |
|---|---|---|
| Tinh Hoa Viet Nam night show | 300,000 dong | 230,000 dong |
| Venice canal boat (“Water Taxi”) | 200,000 dong | 150,000 dong |
| Teddy Bear Museum | 200,000 dong | 150,000 dong |
Children under 1 m are free, and there are combo tickets for two or three of these. Online VinWonders and Safari tickets include a free same-day visit to the Teddy Bear Museum.
Tinh Hoa Viet Nam — the night show
Tinh Hoa Viet Nam (The Quintessence of Vietnam) is a 45-minute show on a huge water stage, telling the story of Vietnam from its origins in four chapters with hundreds of performers, moving sets and water effects. It starts at 20:15 every night, with narration in Vietnamese and English. It is the best-reviewed thing in Grand World (4.8 from 1,425 reviews): visitors describe it as spectacular and moving, even those who expected little.
- Seating is unreserved, so arrive early for a central seat.
- Before the show, from mid-afternoon, costumed “villagers” and short free performances fill the old-town streets — stilt walking, music, a royal procession.
- After the show, a lantern release on the water at about 21:00.

The Venice canal
The canal runs for about 400 m through the colourful “Venice” quarter, and the gondola-style boats (now sold as the Water Taxi) run from 9:00 to 21:00. The ride is short. Reviewers enjoy it but warn of queues of an hour or more in the evening; one recommends buying the ticket online, another going mid-afternoon when it is quieter but hot.
Free shows (October 2026)
| Show | Time | Where |

Teddy Bear Museum and the Bamboo Legend
- The Teddy Bear Museum (4.3 from 2,839) is a small indoor museum of teddy bears dressed as famous people and places, open 10:00–21:00, with a ball pit at the end. Families with small children enjoy it; most adults are done in 15–30 minutes and several found it poor value without children.
- The Bamboo Legend (Huyền thoại Tre, 4.6 from 424), the huge bamboo building designed by architect Vo Trong Nghia, is free to look at and impressive lit up at night.

Food and drink
Grand World is packed with restaurants, cafés and bars, at prices above the rest of the island. Two of the best-reviewed are seafood: Cuong Kua (4.8 from 4,000) and Mai Huong (4.8 from 3,737). There is a large cluster of Indian restaurants — see Indian, halal and vegetarian food — and a food court.
Getting there
Grand World is at Bai Dai in Ganh Dau, about 21 km (25 minutes) by road from Duong Dong and 31 km (40 minutes) from the airport (OSRM routing estimates). Grab cars come and go all day. VinBus route 17 runs from the airport and route 19 from the Long Beach hotels; reviewers used route 17 in 2026. The buses are free with a VinWonders, Safari or Grand World ticket QR code — see getting around Phu Quoc.
Want to compare it with the south? Sunset Town is the island’s other built resort town, with its own evening shows. For all the parks, see theme parks and shows.
