Aquatopia is the water park on Hon Thom (Hòn Thơm, Pineapple Island), off the southern tip of Phu Quoc, and the only way in is the 7.9 km Hon Thom cable car from Sunset Town. It opened in December 2019 on 8 hectares of the island, with more than 20 slides, a wave pool, a lazy river and a children’s area, and it shares the island with the Exotica rides village and a swimming beach. On Google Maps it scores 4.3 from 4,611 reviews (October 2026): visitors love the slides and the ride over, and the most common advice is to get there early.
Tickets and prices
There is no separate water-park ticket. The Hon Thom round-trip cable car ticket is the entry ticket for the island, and according to Sun World it includes Aquatopia, the Exotica village and the beach. Prices on Sun World’s booking site, checked on 14 October 2026:

- Wow Pass (fast track, not a ticket): 300,000 dong for priority boarding on the cable car, or 700,000 dong for the “Gold” pass, which adds priority on the Exotica rides and at the restaurant.
- Changes and refunds: Sun World’s booking policy allows one date change or a refund up to five days before your visit if the ticket is unused; its park FAQ says tickets are not refundable. Read the conditions when you buy.
- No outside food or drink is allowed in the park. There are restaurants, snack bars and cafés inside, including the Mango buffet (lunch 11:00–14:30).

The slides and pools

Most rides have a height rule, posted at the entrance to each one (Sun World):
- Thrill slides — free-fall and looping slides, tube slides and a water coaster: 1.2 m and over.
- Raft and family slides: 1.2 m and over alone, or 1.06–1.19 m with an adult.
- Mat racer (eight lanes, timed): 1.06 m and over.
- Wave pool: 1.3 m and over alone; children of 0.85–1.29 m with an adult.
- Lazy river: anyone over 1.2 m alone; smaller children with an adult.
- Children’s area: splash zone, small slides and play structures, some for children of 0.9–1.05 m with an adult.
The newest ride, a fast raft ride called Wavy Whirl, opened in June 2026. Sun World calls it the world’s first of its kind, which is the operator’s claim. Some slides close in turn for maintenance; several reviewers in 2026 found one or two shut.
Exotica village and the beach
The rest of the island is a separate small theme park, Exotica, included in the same ticket. Its main ride is a wooden roller coaster that opened in 2022: about 900 m of track, 32 m high and up to 80 km/h (SGGP, 2022). Several smaller family rides were added in 2026. The swimming beach next to it has sunbeds; jet skis, parasailing and other water sports cost extra.
Tips from visitors
From Google Maps reviews, 2025–2026:
- Go early. Arrive at the cable car station before 9:00 and head straight for the big slides: queues build after about 10:30. Several reviewers did most of the slides before lunch, then ate when the queues were longest.
- Swimwear rules. Reviewers report that staff on the slides turn away swimwear with zips or metal parts, jewellery and glasses. There is a swimwear shop in the park, but no rental.
- Towels and lockers. Bring your own towel: one reviewer in 2026 paid 50,000 dong to rent one, with a 100,000 dong deposit. Lockers work by face recognition and cost about 30,000 dong, plus a deposit of about 100,000 (Sun World, 2026).
- Bring water shoes or sandals for the hot paths between rides, and sunscreen.
- Plan a full day. One reviewer advises six or seven hours for the cable car, the slides and lunch.
Getting there
- The cable car leaves from Ga Ánh Dương station in Sunset Town, An Thoi. At 7,899.9 m it was recognised by Guinness in 2018 as the longest three-rope cable car in the world; the ride takes about 15 minutes, high over the fishing boats of An Thoi and the An Thoi islands. See the cable car.
- To Sunset Town: about 30 minutes by car from Duong Dong, or take Sun World’s free shuttle bus from Duong Dong and the Long Beach hotels — see getting around.
- Make an evening of it: come back by 17:00, then stay in Sunset Town for dinner and the evening shows. Note that the Kiss Bridge closes from 17:30 to 20:15. See Sunset Town.
For the island’s other big parks, see VinWonders, which has its own water park, and the overview of theme parks on Phu Quoc.
