How Expensive Is Phu Quoc? Travel Costs 2026

Cheap to eat and get around — the rooms and the parks are where it adds up

Phu Quoc is cheap for food and getting around, mid-priced for seafood, and expensive for the big resorts and theme parks — and what you pay for a room depends more on the month than on anything else. A bowl of noodles costs 30,000–60,000 dong (about US$1–2.50) and a Grab across town a few dollars, but a theme-park ticket is around US$40, and the median five-star room on our January search was US$385 a night. Below are the prices we checked in October 2026, with daily budgets at the end.

Prices are in Vietnamese dong; at the Vietcombank rate on 16 October 2026, US$1 bought about 25,650 dong. See money and ATMs for cash, cards and exchange.

Where you sleep

Booking.com, one night for two adults, taxes included, searched on 16 October 2026 (the first 50 results in each class):

Middle half of the 5-star results: US$117–210 in June, US$213–708 in January. Dorm and guesthouse prices from our hostels and budget hotels page, searched 15 October 2026; the cheapest dorms on the island were US$4–8.

Rooms roughly double in high season. December to April is dry and busy; June is the rainy low season. Many resorts had not yet opened their January 2027 rates when we searched. For the areas, see where to stay and luxury resorts.
