Phu Quoc has two full golf courses, both on the quiet north-west coast and both run by the island’s big resort groups: Vinpearl Golf, next to the Vinpearl resorts and Grand World, and the newer Eschuri Vung Bau, by the beach at Vung Bau. Each has 18 holes, par 72, designed by IMG, and green fees that include a caddie and a shared buggy. Golfers on Google Maps rate both highly — and in review after review, they single out the caddies.
The two courses

Vinpearl Golf opened in 2015, then described as a 27-hole course over more than 100 hectares (VnEconomy, 2015); Vinpearl’s course page now shows an 18-hole, par-72 layout, with seashore paspalum grass, a driving range with 20 bays, a 150-seat restaurant and lockers. It is the obvious choice if you are staying at the Vinpearl resorts in the north. Reviewers in 2026 praised the condition of the greens, the sea views and a short par 3 over water, and found the caddies helpful at reading putts.

Eschuri Vung Bau, Sun Group’s course, was built in about ten months from late 2022, cut through woodland towards the sea, and opened in 2024 (Golf Course Architecture, 2025). It has a large clubhouse with a restaurant, a sea-view driving range and short-game areas, and it is the only course on the island with night golf, under floodlights until 21:30. Reviewers describe it as immaculately kept, open to the breeze, and with an excellent clubhouse; a 2.8 million dong twilight round is good value if you can play from 14:00.
Green fees in 2026
Vinpearl Golf — public rates for 2026, 18 holes, including green fee, caddie and a shared buggy:
| 18 holes | Weekday | Weekend and holidays |

Nine holes cost half the 18-hole rate. Extras: club rental 950,000 dong, shoes 250,000, a private two-seat buggy 900,000, 40 range balls 120,000 (Vinpearl price list).
Eschuri Vung Bau — rates from August 2026, including green fee, caddie, a shared buggy, a dish and a soft drink, and taxes:
| Visitors (walk-in) | Weekday | Saturday | Public holiday |
|---|---|---|---|
| 18 holes | 4,600,000 dong | 5,000,000 dong | 5,700,000 dong |
| 9 holes | 2,800,000 dong | 3,000,000 dong | 3,600,000 dong |
- An Eschuri news post from September 2026 gives slightly higher 18-hole rates (4.8 and 5.2 million), so confirm the price when you book.
- Twilight golf, tee times from 14:00, 18 holes without food: 2,800,000 dong (offer valid 15 September to 31 October 2026).
- Discounts (one at a time): 35% for guests of several Sun Group-linked resorts in the south, including JW Marriott Emerald Bay and Premier Village; 25% for passengers on Sun PhuQuoc Airways international flights and for Phu Quoc residents.
Not included at either course: a tip for your caddie. Ask at check-in what is customary. If you prepay, check the cancellation terms: one golfer in 2026 who prepaid and fell ill on the morning of the round could not change the booking.
Dress code and course rules
Vinpearl’s rules ask for proper golf attire on the course; jeans and collarless shirts are only allowed in the clubhouse. Buggies are compulsory, with at most two players per cart; there is no smoking (including e-cigarettes) and no alcohol on the course, and outside food and drink carry a charge. When lightning is close, play is stopped — three long whistles — and usually restarts about 30 minutes after the last strike. Eschuri does not publish a dress code; expect the same standard.
When to play
- December to March is the dry season and the peak golf season — Vinpearl prices it as such. Book tee times early around Christmas, New Year and Tet. See Phu Quoc in December and in January.
- It is hot all year. Even in December, golfers report temperatures near 30 °C with high humidity. Take the first tee times of the morning, or Eschuri’s twilight and night slots.
- April to November is cheaper at Vinpearl, but afternoon storms in the rainy season can stop play. See the weather guide.
Practice and booking
- Driving ranges: both courses have one. In the south, Sun Group’s Kem Beach Driving Range near Khem Beach is open to visitors (hours vary between 8:00 and 20:00, according to Sun World).
- Booking: Vinpearl Golf takes tee-time bookings online and by email or phone; Eschuri through its website and by WhatsApp or Zalo. Hotels and local agencies also book rounds and transfers.
- Getting there: both courses are in the north-west, about 25–30 minutes by car from Duong Dong and further from the southern resorts. See getting around.
More golf to come
In July 2026 the province approved a zoning plan for the north-west coast of Phu Quoc that sets aside 144 hectares for golf, alongside resorts and a casino; no investor or opening date has been announced (Báo Pháp Luật, July 2026).
