Phu Quoc’s west coast faces the sunset, and watching it from a beanbag with a cocktail is one of the island’s rituals. Long Beach has the biggest choice of beach clubs, from barefoot bars with fire shows to polished pool clubs; the south has the best sand; and a handful of rooftops give you the view from above. This guide lists the best-reviewed ones on Google Maps (October 2026) and what visitors say about prices, fees and the shows.
Timing: the sun sets between about 17:30 and 18:20 depending on the month. Arrive an hour early for a good seat. The sunsets are best in the dry season, November to April; from May to October the west coast is often cloudy and rough — see our weather guide.
Long Beach
Most of the beach clubs are along Long Beach, between Duong Dong and the Sonasea area.
- OCSEN Beach Bar & Club — 4.5 from 4,735 reviews, open 16:00–01:00. The island’s best-known beach bar: orange beanbags on the sand, a DJ, and a fire show at 22:00 every night that reviewers call the highlight. Come before 20:00 for a good spot; some visitors mention a charge at fire-show time.
- Sailing Club Phu Quoc — 4.5 from 3,970, open 6:30–22:00. A polished pool club on the beach promenade with an infinity pool, sunbeds and Western food. Visitors mention a towel charge of 50,000 dong, a light show at 20:00 and a fire show at 21:00, and a two-hour free-flow Aperol Spritz deal for 390,000 dong.
- Sunset Beach Bar & Restaurant — 4.3 from 2,403, open 9:00–01:00. A pool, a netted swimming area in the sea, a DJ at sunset and a fire show at 22:00. One reviewer was told about a minimum order of six beers at busy times.
- Aloha Beach Bar — 4.7 from 2,107. Right on the beach in northern Long Beach, with live music and a free fire show on most nights.
- Sunset Sanato — 4.0 from 2,674, open 9:00–22:00. Famous for the giant sculptures of elephants on stilts standing in the sea, and one of the most photographed sunsets on the island. Visitors pay an entry fee to the beach — reported at 80,000–100,000 dong in 2025–2026 — and around 100,000 dong more for a sunbed; some found litter on the sand.
- Ando Bistro (Sonasea) — 4.7 from 541. A quieter spot for a sunset drink and dinner on the beach, with live music.

Bai Khem, Sao Beach and Hon Thom
The south has calmer, whiter beaches and more day-time clubs.
- The Deck (Bai Khem) — 4.6 from 1,461, open 9:00–21:00. Sunbeds, good burgers and beach music on one of the island’s best beaches. Sunbeds are charged separately from food — one visitor paid 150,000 dong for four hours.
- X Club Saigon (Sao Beach) — 4.0 from 1,200. Photogenic swings and decor on Bai Sao. Visitors report a 60,000-dong entry fee, redeemable against food and drinks, plus about 150,000 dong for a beach chair; reviews of the food and service are mixed.
- Santo Beach Club (Hon Thom) — 5.0 from 207, open 9:30–16:30. The beach club at the end of the cable car, praised for its food and reasonable prices.
Bai Dai and the north
- The Haven Beach Club (Bai Dai) — 4.9 from 417, open 9:00–23:00. Soft white sand and a clear sea; one reviewer found the set “sunset package” disappointing, so order from the menu.
- Amber Sands Beach Club (Crowne Plaza Starbay) — 4.5 from 170. A resort beach club with a DJ and dinner by candlelight on the sand.
Rooftops and cocktail bars
- INK 360 (InterContinental Long Beach) — 4.6 from 751, open 17:00–23:00. A rooftop with sweeping views, a DJ and creative cocktails; one of the best sunset spots if the sky is clear.
- Times Corner Sky Bar (Sunset Town) — 4.8 from 478, open 15:00–midnight. A rooftop with a view of the sunset and of the nightly fireworks over Sunset Town.
- Chuon Chuon Bistro (Duong Dong) — 4.3 from 6,165. A café-restaurant on a hill above town that many reviewers say has the best sunset view on the island. Busy; book for a sunset table.
- PH Rooftop (An Thoi) — 4.6 from 378. Sunset views over An Thoi and a happy hour from 16:00 to 18:00.
- Bittersweet (185 Tran Hung Dao, Duong Dong) — 4.8 from 1,257, open 18:00–01:00. Not a sunset spot but the best-reviewed cocktail bar on the island: there is no menu, and the bartender makes a cocktail around the flavours you like.

Tips
- Ask about fees before you sit down. Entry fees, sunbed and towel charges and minimum orders are common, and they are not always posted.
- Bring cash for entry fees and sunbeds.
- Book at weekends and holidays for the popular spots, especially for a sunset table.
- Get home safely. Take a Grab or taxi; do not ride a scooter after drinking — the legal limit is zero. See our motorbike guide.
