Kem Beach (also known as “Bai Kem”, “Bai Khem”, “Khem Beach” or “Cream Beach”) is another one of Phu Quoc's white sand beaches located just south of the more popular Sao Beach in An Thoi Town.
Bai Khem use to be a restricted military zone but as of 2014 the restriction has been lifted. Today Khem Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Phu Quoc – thanks to the meticulous beachfront house keeping of the few resorts found here.
The Beach
Bai Kem is a crescent shaped beach that is blessed with powdery white sand that squeaks when wet. The ocean here is calm and relatively clear with a greenish-blue tint. Due to this unique color, the sea in front of the beach has been given the name “Emerald Bay”.

How to get there
Khem Beach is located on the south eastern coast of Phu Quoc Island in An Thoi Commune, just south of Bai Sao Beach. The beach is located 24 kilometers from Duong Dong Town and there are two routes to get to Bai Khem — by going south on Tranh Hung Dao , which turns into DT975 or by going south on highway DT46.
